Gabriella Kim-De Leon

Gabriella Kim- De Leon serves as Program Officer I in the College Savings Division at the State of Nevada Treasurer’s Office. As a first-generation college graduate and proud alum of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Gabriella holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.
A firm believer in the transformative power of education, Gabriella understands that education is not just a tool for personal development but a fundamental social determinant of health. Through her work, she emphasizes that basic educational expertise—such as knowledge, reasoning, emotional self-regulation, and communication skills—are critical components of public health and essential to promoting health equity.
Her professional journey has included impactful roles at the Office of Minority Health and Equity in Las Vegas and the Department of Human Services in Pittsburgh, where she worked on projects aimed at reducing health disparities and enhancing community resilience. Fluent in Spanish, Gabriella has leveraged her language skills to bridge communication gaps and advocate for underrepresented communities through her volunteer work as an English language learner tutor; where she helps develop essential language skills, reinforcing her belief in education as a foundation for health and empowerment.
Currently, in her role with the State Treasurer’s Office, Gabriella is passionate about helping Nevada families plan, save, and pay for post-secondary education. She views continued education as a cornerstone of public health, knowing that it fosters healthier communities by equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for long-term well-being. Through her work, she is committed to making educational opportunities accessible to all, understanding that this is key to achieving health equity for the people of Nevada.
