Troy Watts has been serving as the Marketing Coordinator for the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office since 2010.  Troy’s responsibilities include coordinating the marketing functions and outreach activities of Nevada’s College Savings Plans, the College Kick Start Program, and the Nevada Prepaid Tuition programs, as well as assisting in the coordination of financial literacy initiatives for the State Treasurer’s Office.

Troy’s passion for financial literacy and college preparation began through his responsibilities prior to joining the State Treasurer’s Office.  For seven years, he served as the Marketing Director for a $125 Million credit union and helped families navigate through personal financial struggles and challenges experienced during the last economic downturn.

Through his current position, Troy enjoys every opportunity to speak to students and parents alike about the importance of planning, saving, and paying for post-secondary education.
